Meanwhile!

It's over four years since I started this blog (and abandoned it!) In the intervening time, I have, inevitably, matured by just living. I have become wiser and humbled up too. Not sure which is the cause and which the effect. I have, quite slowly, realised that I deserve what is mine and at the same time, am responsible to others to merit this. I have become my mentee and mentor. While I am my own, arguably, toughest critic, I have also chosen to nurture myself with the care and compassion that one usually demands from the rest of the world.

For the longest time, I just blurted out my words, without care or caution, regarding how it would be received, or even the harm I might be doing to myself. For as long as I recall, I have been more concerned with style than substance, with form than function, in whatever I ventured. In many of my past interactions, I just kept speaking, sticking to my point of view, and not listening to good advice, when I should have.

But now is always a good time to start learning and keep learning. In the end that’s all that matters. I have eventually understood the obvious: If I keep training and learning, physically, emotionally and intellectually - better health, and increased wealth, well-being and wisdom are inevitable consequences.

My karma will work itself out, and so, I can stop worrying and just keep caring!

Welcome to my Blogsite!

The reason I started to blog was that I felt someone, somewhere may have answers to my specific questions and at the same time, someone, somewhere may find some answers here.

First let me discuss a real tough one. What motivates one to do more in life? Simple answer is ambition. But I have been through that. Never felt its call. In fact, to the contrary, felt ambition could bring disappointment, envy, greed and other unwanted side effects and hence, never lit the fire in the belly. Just floated along. Now I find it hard to stay motivated. I would rather just Stop and Go Home – wherever that is.

Life, however, does not allow us to do that. We have ‘responsibilities’. Bills to pay. So we just shut up and carry on. Just a wild yell into the beyond, anyone out there who truly loves life? I mean who is content with the small interludes of happiness it provides in what seems like endless drudgery.

As I write this, I feel fear that even this may get taken away from me for not being grateful. Badly need a belief. I have nullified the concept of a thinking feeling God to a force. This has led me into the ground where I think nothing or nobody is in charge. Is there really anybody out there who can respond to this discussion? Somebody who will not make me join a group or a religion to understand?
